| OverviewThis site contains photographs of the Gettysburg battlefield, monuments, landmarks, and people.
One way to access this site is via http://EncounterAtGettysburg.com using one of the maps. From the maps you will be brought to the appropriate picture, and much of this site is built around the assumption you will be entering the site in this manner.
You can access this site directly. You can look at collections of photographs, or the most recent additions, etc. I also have a number of Tipton Photos loaded. If you would like to see these, please send me an email.
If you would like an account to upload pictures, please contact Charles_Kann(at)Yahoo.com and I will be thrilled to get you an account. Note that all images on this site must be public domain and will be shared with the world.
I greatly prefer that images be related to the history of Gettysburg and the battle. Images of monuments are also wonderful. Images of your family at Devil's Den are not really germane to this site (unless it is pictures of your family at Devil's Den in 1885!) |

| Tipton ImagesIn 1996, the Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides was granted permission by the National Park Service to duplicate the entire William H. Tipton Photographic Collection held in the park archies. Professional photographer Warren E. Motts of Groveport, Ohio donated all the labor for the project. This collection represents one of the most significant visual representations of the battlefield at Gettysburg and is an invaluable resource for students of the battle.
Wayne E. Motts - Licensed Battlefield Guide Tipton Project Coordinator 2005
Note: I have been required to restrict access to this collection. Please email me at Charles_Kann__AT__yahoo.com if you would like information on the images.
